A Tornado Watch and Flash Flood Watch are in effect for portions of SE Texas.
After a mostly cloudy day, spotty and scattered showers and thunderstorms are developing across SE Texas.
Strong to severe storms are possible, and the National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 11 counties in Southeast Texas.
The tornado watch lasts until 9 PM for Madison, Walker, Grimes, Washington, Waller, Austin, Colorado, Walker, Houston, and Trinity counties.
Thunderstorms that develop tonight pose a significant risk, potentially producing hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes.
The storms could also lead to some flooding concerns. NWS also issued a Flood Watch for Brazos, Grimes, Madison, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Trinity, and Houston counties through Monday morning.
Whether your county is under a watch or not, it is important to remain weather alert tonight.
