Sunshine and 90s Monday. Check out when a few showers return to Houston.
Monday is another foggy start with reduced visibility. Then comes the sunshine that will heat temperatures to the low 90s by the late afternoon.
This isn't the last hot day. Each day, the heat index values will increase, and by late week, it could feel like the upper 90s and low triple digits.
If you don't have power:
-Make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
-Spend part of your day in places with AC - like the mall, the movie theater, or the library.
- Shut off the heat to rooms that face the sun by closing the blinds and the door.
- Cool off by putting your towels, blankets, and washcloths in ice.
Rain will be absent for much of the week. There is a low chance for showers on Thursday and Friday, but that will depend on whether a stalled-out boundary makes it into SE Texas.
